Have You Played... The Cat & The Coup?

Have You Played? is an endless stream of game recommendations. One a day, every day of the year, perhaps for all time.

Politics and puzzles. Art and animation. Cats and coups. A little bit of little-discussed history that's all too relevant to what's happening right now.

Give The Cat and The Coup half an hour of your life if you haven't already. It's free, it's bold, it's very pretty, and it teaches a spot of history without quite feeling like it's teaching a spot of history. It's not dry - it's surrealistic and sinister, beautiful and brooding. 'Historical art' might be a better way of attempting to describe how it tells the 1953 Irani revolution from the Irani, rather than Western, perspective.

There are puzzles of a sort, but it wouldn't be fair to pretend they were anything more than brief interactions in order to progress to more art and ideas.

Also you get to play as a cat who knocks a load of things over, so it's right up there in web meme central too.
